This year the show is celebrating its 46th anniversary! Along with the great deals on vessels and boating gear, the show also features new nautical attractions and educational opportunities. Event Highlights

Antique and Classic Boat Display

Visit the Antique and Classic Boat Display. One of the most anticipated features is Surprise—a 30' 1927 Hutchinson Launch commissioned in 1926 to be built by the Hutchinson Boat company in New York by Mrs. Charles Merrill as a birthday gift to her husband Charles, the founder of the investment bank Merrill Lynch.

Island Experience

The Island Experience is a great way to socialize and enjoy time with friends as you think of the 2019 boating season! Enjoy music by Mick Sterling Presents musicians Elijah Adam, Tom Harkness, and Erin Chase Thursday–Saturday from 4:00 PM–8:00 PM.

Twin Cities Beach Blast

You’ll definitely want to attend the Twin Cities Beach Blast, The Milk Carton Boat Races, and the Sandcastle Competition. Get all the information you need for the family-friendly 2019 Blast held on Sunday, July 21.

Discover-A-Boat—FREE for Kids

Your kids are invited to the show floor to explore the recreational boats as they navigate the Discover-A-Boat Map. The navigation point begins at the Twin Cities Beach Blast located in Lobby E. Turn in the completed Discover-A-Boat Map after the search for a prize!

Lakeshore Lifestyle Experience

Visit the all-new Lakeshore Lifestyle Experience and take in the view of the lakeshore in spring or summer. On Friday, the Minnesota Grape Growers Association will be available to serve samples of Marquette grape wines at the Minnesota Wine Experience.

Boating Education

This year’s show also offers boating education. Do-it-yourselfers or boat owners interested in maintaining, repairing, or upgrading their boat or engine can visit Fred’s Shed for practical, professional advice. Visit the Progressive® Insurance Boat Club where seasoned mariners from the Annapolis School of Seamanship will teach an entertaining curriculum of hands-on boating courses. Or, test your boating skills at America’s Boating Club’s Boating Skills Virtual Trainer.

2019 Minneapolis Innovation Awards

The Innovation Awards are held in Minneapolis to honor manufacturers and suppliers who are leading the industry with innovative boating products. Go by all the booths and get to know some of Minneapolis’ most reputable boating companies that participated in the 2019 Minneapolis Innovation Award.
